Bad Bramstedt, the Spa and Roland city, has approx 2400 hectares with 13.500 citizens. There are nearly 800 accommodations in Hotels, Bed and Breakfast Houses, Apartments or private homes available. Nearly 20 restaurants with national, international and seasonal cuisine invite you to be their guest and enjoy their food.

Bad Bramstedt, as Health Spa is nationwide known for its two specialized clinics. The Spa´s source can be found in the “Gesundbrunnen” (Health Fountain), a healing source in the Osterau Valley which even nowadays can be visited.
But it is not only the for health care Bad Bramstedt is worthwhile visiting. We have two well-known far distance bicycle tours – the “Ochsenweg” and the “Mönchsweg” leading through the city of Bad Bramstedt, and hence inviting the bikers to make a rest. Farmers´ markets and flea markets in the centre of the city are popular meeting points as well as many attractive events. There are many possibilities to spend your leisure time and to be entertained for each age group.
[media 1621 rechts]In the Spa area you can find little shops, directly beside the Klinikum Bad Bramstedt, and only a few hundred meters away from the Medizinisch-Psychosomatische Klinik: you can find souvenirs, food and clothing, as well as a hairdresser. In the city´s center – approx. 1.5 – 2 km away from the Spa area – there are more extensive shopping possibilities – i.e. also super markets.
The Maria Magdalenen Church, located on a little hill, built in the 13th century marks the centre of the city.
The Wiebke-Kruse sculpture originates from a historical love story. When Danish King Christian, IV, travelled through Bad Bramstedt in 1625, he saw on his way young Wiebke Kruse washing laundry and he immediately fell in love with her. Wiebke Kruse became his mistress and they had two children together.
A Warm Welcome to the Spa and Roland City in the Middle of Holstein´s Meadows
Bad Bramstedt is situated in the centre of Schleswig-Holstein, in the city triangle of Hamburg-Kiel-Lübeck. It can be easily reached from all directions. Embedded into a hilly landscape of forests and moorland, covered with numerous attractive meadows, it invites you to a variety of excursions, i.e. to the North- or the Baltic Sea, to the Holsteinische Schweiz or to Hamburg.
Bad Bramstedt offers a wide range of activities under the slogan “Movement and Balance”. Detailed information and a central accommodation bureau can be found in the “Tourism Office” in the Town Hall.
It is the intention of the tourism office to secure and improve the service quality in Bad Bramstedt. We are member of the initiative “ServiceQuality Germany” and we have been awarded 2008 with the Service Quality Level I.
